Is that a good thing?

Yesterday we received our marks for the storytelling module we did a few months back, which I thought was a nice experience all-round. Nothing like ending the day by just sitting and listening to a few stories, nor when you’re telling and you can tell people are actually listening (it’s not so nice when you can tell they aren’t). Anyway, my comments sheet raised a number of questions. The one I really want an answer to is in relation to this:
you kept to a steady and rhythmic tone reminiscent of the great Oliver Postgate
Now if you don’t know who Oliver Postgate is, shame on you. He was the narrator of Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine, Noggin the Nog and The Clangers. And personally, I think he has an amazing voice for telling stories, but I also know that reminiscent means “you’re kinda like that” and in this case, “kinda like that” can be disastrous I think. Or maybe I’m over reacting.
